THE GOLDEN AGE AWARDS

Every June, since 1993, CGL holds the Golden Age Awards presentation. This eventful gathering has taken place in highly prestigious landmarks of the City of New York: The Lincoln Center (1993), The United Nations (1994, 1995 and 1996), and until the year 2001 at The World Trade Center (107th Floor). Since 2003 it is being held at the Inter-Continental, The Barclay, 111 East 48th street, NYC.

This year's event will be on Thursday, June 12th, 2008.

The Golden Age Awards are given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the Latino/Hispanic communities throughout the world. Awards are given for effective leadership, lifetime contributions, public policy initiatives, corporate contributions and community involvement.

SUCCESSFUL 2006 GOLDEN AGE AWARDS PRESENTATION

New York -- The 14th Golden Age Awards presentation took place this past June 22nd, 2006 at the Inter-Continental Hotel, The Barclay, located at 111 East 48th Street in New York.

The Golden Age Awards are given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the Latino/Hispanic communities throughout the world. Awards are given for effective leadership, lifetime contributions, public policy initiatives, corporate contributions and community involvement.

The activity was covered by Channel 9, Fox 5, and Univison 41.

This year's event was sponsored by Whitsons Culinary Group.

The Tenth Golden Age Awards Presentation was brilliantly held on Thursday, June 20, 2002 at the prestigious restaurant Russian Tea Room in New York City. Lynda Baquero from NBC-TV received the 2002 Community Service Award. James Clayton, General Manager for FOX 5, New York received the Corporate Golden Age Award See video here.
